🇫🇷 Four Hours in Paris

Seine from Île de la Cité

My first time in Paris was a brief afternoon layover on the way from Lisbon to London, flying in and transferring to the Eurostar. I didn’t see the Eiffel Tower, but I did get a feel for a couple of neighborhoods.

I landed at Orly Airport, hopped on the OrlyVal shuttle to Antony, and transferred to the RER train to Gare du Nord station. There I dropped by bags at left luggage and headed outside.

Across the  street at the Café Foresta pizza joint I bought a crepe from the take-out window and started walking around the 10th Arrondissement. The Jardin Villeman was a nice little park nearby. The Canal St. Martin was unfortunately closed and drained for repairs.

Then I hoped on a Vélib’ bike share and headed down to the River Seine and walked around the Île de la Cité.
